Connecting to another workstation

Due to the segmentation in place on our network, admins will not be able to remote directly into other computers.

Servers and VMs at the data center are accessible directly via Remote Desktop.

To RDP into workstations in a branch office or on the VPN, follow the steps below:

1. Go to remote.ffl.net in your web browser
2. Log in with ffl\[username] and your Windows password
3. Open the Remote Tools folder --> download Remote Desktop Connection
4. Launch the file that just downloaded
5. Log in again with your Windows credentials, and be prepared to accept a Duo prompt on your cell phone
6. At the prompt to enter a computer name, enter the name or IP address of the PC you wish to connect to, then click Connect
7. Log in again with your Windows credentials, and be prepared to accept a Duo prompt on your cell phone

You should now be logged into the workstation as if you were sitting in front of it.

To remote into other computers going forward, you only need to revisit the same file you downloaded in Step #4, so you can skip Steps 1-3.  For ease of access, you can copy/paste the blue RDP file to your desktop and rename it if desired.
