MS Word Not Spell-Checking

If Microsoft Word is not spell-checking words that are clearly misspelled in part or all of a Word document, follow the steps below to resolve the issue. The "Do not check spelling and grammar" check box may be checked in the Language options.
  1. 1. Select the entire contents of the document.

    Go to the Review tab --> in the Language group, click Language --> click Set Proofing Language.
  2. 2. Uncheck the "Do not check..." box

    In the Language dialog box, select English (U.S.) from the list.

    If the "Do not check spelling or grammar" check box is checked, click it to un-check it.

    Click the "Set As Default" button to set English (U.S.) as your default language in Word, then click OK.
