Terminal Server Info

Modified on Mon, Apr 13 at 4:05 PM

The new terminal server launched on December 13, 2023, and rebuilt March 24, 2026.  This shared server allows any employee of FMHC or its member banks to connect for use of applications such as Nautilus Unity Client, Encompass, and Prologue, as well as sites like Verafin and Cultivate.  The server can be used by an employee as a backup to accessing it directly on their computer when a specific application or website is not working properly.

There are multiple methods to connect to/use the terminal server:

  1. Remote Desktop Connection - click the blue icon for remote.ffl.net on your desktop.  (If you do not see the icon below, you may copy it to your desktop from this location: G:\Shared\AppFiles\Terminal Server Shortcut.)  Log in with your Windows username and password, then proceed to access the application or site you wish to use.
  2. Web browser - go to https://rdweb.ffl.net/ in the web browser of your choice (either Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome).  You will first log in with ffl\(username) and your Windows/computer password.  Then, select the application you wish to use (like Encompass or Verafin).  In your Downloads, click on the application that just downloaded to open it.  If prompted, log in again with ffl\(username) and your Windows/computer password.  The program or site you selected will launch and you will be able to access it.  Note: You only need to log into the rdweb.ffl.net site once and download the application you need one time.  After that, simply visit your Downloads folder to re-launch the app at a later time.
  3. Recommended as of April 2026: Add Work Resources from within the Control Panel, under RemoteApp and Desktop Connections as shown below.  At the far left, click "Access RemoteApp and desktops," then copy/paste this link into the Connection URL field: https://rdweb.ffl.net/rdweb/feed/webfeed.aspx

This will eliminate the extra step to have to sign into rdweb.ffl.net since it is already connected and it will appear that the application is installed locally, even though it still running off of the session host servers.
