Registering Cleartouch for Remote/VPN Access

Modified on Wed, Dec 13, 2023 at 11:03 PM

Effective March 2020 (coronavirus pandemic), we are now able to set up employees with remote access to Cleartouch from their laptop when working on the VPN.

Basically, we can take a user's existing Cleartouch license and make a copy of that CT instance on the terminal server (remote.ffl.net / WCLETS01 & WCLETS02).  This will work because a user should only be accessing CT one of two ways: locally on their computer when in the office, and via the TS when working on the VPN.

Follow the steps below to set up remote CT access for a user.

As of December 2023, all employees (Domain Users) have access to the new terminal server farm.

  1. Find the user's existing station ID number in the appropriate affiliate's CT license list (located in Teams: Fiserv Support team --> General channel --> Files tab --> Master Network Lists folder)
  2. Open the Master Network list 110D IP List.xlsx (or other affiliate's CT license list)
  3. Make a copy of one of the existing ST folders in C:\Cleartouch3 on the terminal server and rename the folder to the station ID from #2
  4. Delete the ctinstanceRegistration.config file from the newly created folder
  5. Launch Fiserv.Cleartouch.Desktop.Startup.Bootstrap from the folder and register the workstation
  6. Ensure the employee has a shortcut to remote.ffl.net on their desktop.  Have the employee remote into remote.ffl.net to create a profile if they don’t already have one
  7. Create a shortcut to the Cleartouch application in their station ID file on the desktop
  8. Make sure they can launch CT and log in
