TPG Printer Installation

Modified on Mon, Mar 11, 2024 at 9:59 AM

To install the drivers for the TPG receipt/validation printer, follow the steps below.

1. Make sure the TPG is powered on and plugged into the computer via a USB cable.

2. Logged in to the computer under your admin credentials, go to the Start Menu --> Printers & scanners --> Add a printer or scanner --> Scroll down and click on the "The printer that I want isn't listed" link

3. Select "Add a local printer..."

4. Use an existing port: choose USB001 (or whichever USB port the TPG is plugged into) and click Next

5. Click Have Disk... then Browse... and navigate to G:\Shared\AppFiles\TPG Receipt Printer\New Drivers (Win10)\CognitiveTPGMiniDriverV105\64Bit\64Bit

6. For the receipt functionality: Open the Receipt folder and choose the setup driver (.INF file) in this directory

7. Click OK and next.

8. Make sure the TPG is named "TPG B780 Rcpt" - otherwise it will not work properly through Cleartouch

9. Click Next and Finish (no need to share the printer - it is only local)

10. Log out, have the user log back in and verify they can now print receipts to the TPG from Cleartouch.

OLD:

Repeat steps 2 through 9 to install the TPG for validation functionality.  In step 6, open the NarrowSlip folder instead of the Receipt folder.  In step 8, make sure the TPG is named "TPG B780 Slip"
