TPG Printer Configuration

TPG are Receipt and Validation printers used by Cleartouch. The printers need specific Configuration and a Receipt logo added.
  1. 1. Instructions - Use Laptop in John's office.

    1. Connect Printer to PC
    2. Power on Printer
    3. Start “hmUtility”
    4. Change “Port Selection” ( --> SETUP) to “COM3, 9600, DTR, ON”
    a. Click “setup” bottom right area
    b. Click “Remove”
    c. Double click “COM3”
    d. Change baudrate to “9600”
    e. Click “OK”
    f. Click “ON”
    g. Click “OK”
    5. Select “Print Configuration form 1”
    6. Click on “Send”
    a. This confirms you are communicating with the printer
    7. Click on “Flash icon” – button on the left
    8. Navigate to “C:\TPG\Firmware Flash\A776FLV302.BIN
    9. Click on Send (if you receive an error, wait 60 seconds and try again”
    10. Wait until you see “COM3 open”
    11. Click on “Boot icon” – button on the left
    12. Navigate to “C:\TPG\Firmware Boot\A776B304A.PBT”
    13. Click on Send
    14. Once you see “Invalid handle 2” the printer is no longer is COM mode. You need to change the Port to “USB Native”
    15. Click on “Setup”
    16. Click on “remove”
    17. Double click “USB Native”
    18. Click the “Configure icon” main button
    19. Click on “ON”
    20. Select “Disable Paper Low Sensor”
    21. Click on “Send” – wait for printer to reset
    22. Select “Set USB to Printer Class”
    23. Click on “Send” – Wait for “USB open” - Change Port Selection to “USB Printer Class”
    24. Click on “Setup”
    25. Click on “Remove”
    26. Double Click on “USB Printer Class”
    27. Click on “ON”
    28. Click on “OK”
    29. Select “Print Configuration Form 1”
    30. Click on “Send” Confirm items below
    a. Firmware is v3.04 & V3.02
    b. Paper Low Sensor = Disabled
    31. Close the Printer Utility
    32. “F” the printer

    Install Logo
    1. Start ReceiptWare
    2. Click “Tools”
    3. Click “Download Utility”
    4. Select “ffl-451.axi”
    5. Click on “Send” – Wait for printer to print a logo
    6. Select “Plain Receipt.txt”
    7. Click on “Send” – This prints a sample receipt, it should print a logo after the paper is cut
