Whitelisting an Email Address

Modified on Thu, Jul 31 at 2:48 PM

Occasionally, you may find that legitimate emails you expect to receive in your main Inbox are being sent to the "Other" tab of Outlook, to your Junk folder, or to the Silversky email quarantine.

Our company does not use a global email whitelist/allow list or Safe Senders list due to potential security concerns (i.e. emails could bypass our spam filtering system).

To prevent these occurrences, please do the following:

  • If the email is going to the "Other" tab in Outlook: Right click on the email --> Always move to Focused
  • If the email is going to your Junk folder: Right click on the email --> Junk --> Never block sender
  • If the email is getting caught in Silversky: Log into Silversky and add the sender's email address to your personal Whitelist, or click "Whitelist" on the message that is stuck in quarantine
