There might be an occasion when you want to limit who can send emails to a specific distribution group (like an IT Service Desk group).
To only allow certain users to send to a distribution group, open the group within the Exchange admin center. Go to the Mail Flow Settings tab --> open the Message Delivery Restrictions property. From there, you can add one or more specific users who you want to allow to send to the distribution group.
