With AD Phonebook (the intranet employee directory), you can run queries to do a more advanced search than the general search bar and filter fields will allow. See details and examples below.
The basis of your search will be the main intranet directory link/URL: http://lansweeper/ADPhonebook
Right after that link, you can type in a question mark (?) followed by your query.
Formula: http://server/adphonebook?columnName=value
Example: http://lansweeper/ADPhonebook?Email Address=ffl.net
This will give you all employees with an ffl.net email address (basically, all FFL employees only).
To take it a step further, you can add an operator (& for AND, | [a “pipe”] for OR) to search/filter by two criteria at once, like this:
http://lansweeper/ADPhonebook?Email Address=ffl.net&Title=Universal Banker 3
This will give you all FFL employees whose title is “Universal Banker 3.”
http://lansweeper/ADPhonebook?Manager=Martin DeVries|Manager=Aliya Peabody
This one will list all employees who report directly to either Martin or Aliya.
http://lansweeper/ADPhonebook?title=+Branch%20Manager
This will list all employees who have a title that ends with "Branch Manager" (so mainly regionals and assistants).
http://lansweeper/ADPhonebook?title=Manager+
This will list anyone whose title either begins with "Manager" or has info after the word "Manager."
From there, you can export the list to Excel, if desired. This query method may help you, at least until a Member Bank field is added, or the member bank’s abbreviation is added before everyone’s department name.
If you arrive at a frequently-used query that you want to keep, you should be able to save specific queries as separate favorites, e.g. a “FFL Universal Bankers 3” link, and that way it will take you right there, no need to re-invent the wheel every time you want that list of employees.
