Steps to Reconfigure a Desk Phone (that is not already configured/set up in Office@Hand)
1. Grab the phone's IP address: Press Home (the round house button to the right of the screen) --> Settings --> Status --> Network --> TCP/IP --> IPv4 Address will be displayed.
2. Remote to it in a web browser (start with https://[IP address]), click Advanced --> Proceed anyway (past the security warning)
3. Log in as Admin with pwd 456 (if it doesn't accept this password, and 789 works instead, the phone has already been configured in Office@Hand, and there is no need to proceed with the following steps)
4. Go to the Utilities tab --> Phone Backup & Restore --> Global Settings --> Restore --> Yes at the prompt
5. Say OK at the next pop-up, then QUICKLY AND IMMEDIATELY go to the Home tab (we will need this page in a minute)
6. Open a Command Prompt and start a continuous ping on the phone's IP address. This will show you when the phone actually reboots.
7. In the AT&T Office@Hand site --> Users --> Users with Extensions, find the name of the user whose phone you are working on and select it
8. Under Phones & Numbers --> (user's name) Existing Phone, click Edit --> Setup & Provision button
9. Enter the phone model name as shown in the phone interface in your web browser tab (usually Polycom VVX 500)
10. On the next screen, you will need to copy/paste the phone's MAC address from the Home tab (where you left off in Step #5)
11. On the next screen, you will be presented with the instructions to provision the phone on AT&T
12. By now, the phone should have rebooted (hopefully - you can confirm in your Command Prompt window)
13. Back in the phone interface, go to the Settings tab --> Provisioning Server
14. Set to: HTTPS, paste in the URL from AT&T (pp.ringcentral.biz/pp), clear out Server User and Server Password fields, and under DHCP Menu, change Boot Server to "Static"
14.5. Before hitting "Save," go to Settings --> Network --> TLS --> under the TLS Applications section, set all dropdowns under the Minimum TLS Version column to TLS 1.2
15. Click Save. The phone will reboot again, several times (check your ping in Command Prompt to verify), then the phone should be provisioned on AT&T within 10 minutes or so.
16. Back on the O@H site, click Done. Phone will show "Offline" on this page. You can refresh the page later and it will ultimately show "Online" when complete.
Alternatively, if you want to keep going and provision other phones while you're waiting, you can go back to the O@H site --> Phone System tab --> Phones & Devices --> User Phones and search the user's name (Ctrl-F) on this page. If they have a green checkmark by their name, their phone is online and ready to use. Red 'X' means you have to wait, or it didn't provision for some reason.
