Closing a Teller Drawer in CT for a Separated Employee (Branch Managers/Supervisors)

Modified on Tue, Jul 16, 2024 at 11:28 AM

Occasionally, a branch employee may suddenly be terminated or leave employment during a business day, leaving their Cleartouch account active and needing to be properly closed out by the end of the day.

Per Alysia Mattox, these steps may be followed by the branch manager/supervisor to close out the teller's drawer:

  1. After IT resets the password, the supervisor may use it along with the former employee's User ID and teller number assigned to their drawer to sign into Cleartouch.
  2. Count the drawer and document on the Cash Audit Sheet
  3. Transfer the full amount to the vault and do a Cash Decrease of the drawer amount.
  4. Complete a Balancing Drawer and print a Teller Sheet.
  5. When balancing the Vault at the end of the day, complete a Cash Increase of the drawer amount.
  6. Now it will be ready to transfer to the next employee who will use this particular teller number.

The request to reset the former employee's password MUST be documented in a Service Desk ticket for auditing purposes.
