Sending a Large Email Attachment - Email Size Limits

Modified on Mon, Aug 5 at 8:49 AM

Some external email systems, like Yahoo and Gmail, have specific limits on the size of emails their system receives.  It may be 25 MB or 50 MB, so keep that in mind when attempting to send a large email attachment externally.  Our internal email system has a sending limit of 36 MB.

If you are running into an issue sending an external email with a large attachment, you can attempt to send the email securely.  Our BAE secure email system will allow attachments of up to 50 MB.  You must send the email from within the SilverSky MailSafe portal.  If you try to send it securely through Outlook, you will encounter the usual email size limitations.
