To remotely push the Prologue client to a user's computer:
- RDP to the Prologue server (literally, that's the name of it)
- Go to Start menu
- Run Setup Prologue app
- Click the Clients tab
- Click [New Host] - this should highlight the row in that table in blue
- Click [New Host] again to edit the text in that box
- Clear out [New Host] and enter computer name(s), don't include the ()
- Click Install
- If it succeeds, it will state "Client installed" when done
- If it does not succeed, the computer could be offline. Check connectivity in Lansweeper.
- If the user is remote / on a laptop on the VPN, the system may just be unable to connect by name. Enter the computer's current IP address instead of the computer name in step #7.
- Steps 10 - 12 are now optional (as of April 2026), proceed to Step 13: BEFORE the user launches the program, run Prologue.exe AS ADMINISTRATOR from C:\Program Files (x86)\Fiserv\Prologue
- Upon launching the app, if you are not a Prologue user, you should receive an error message, but the profile should read "PROLOGUE_2022" on the login screen. Go to Properties of the Prologue.exe file (in the directory listed above in Step #10) and make sure Compatibility is set to Windows 7 before creating shortcut
- Right click the Prologue.exe and Send to Desktop to create a new shortcut. Copy to Public desktop if needed (this will make it appear for ALL users who log into the computer, instead of just one specific user's profile).
- Have the user test to make sure they can log into the program. If they do not see a desktop shortcut, they can create one from Prologue in the Start menu.
