Scan to local drive (Ricoh 301)

Modified on Mon, Dec 23, 2019 at 5:11 PM

Loan Originators have to scan from the 301 scanners to their local drive. The standard image has a local user "scan". Scan is used to save files to the local hard drive.
  1. 1. Troubleshooting

    Remote into user's computer and use their web browser to access the printer's web interface at 192.168.253.254
    Ensure that there is a scan destination of \\192.168.253.253\Scans
    Ensure that there is a local user named "Scan"
    Ensure that there is a folder on the C: drive labeled "Scans"
    Check the permissions on the "Scans" folder and ensure it is shared and that "Scan" has write/contribute access
  2. In order to be able to print locally while on the VPN, you need to get a particular VPN configuration.  This is managed on the firewall in the following locations:
  3. - Network --> GlobalProtect --> Portals --> FFLVPN --> Agent --> VPNPrinting --> Config Selection Criteria --> User/UserGroup: (add the user name as ffl\[user ID])
  4. - Network --> GlobalProtect --> Gateways --> FFLVN_GPGW --> Agent --> Client Settings --> VPNJPrinting --> Config Selection Criteria --> Source User: (add the user name as ffl\[user ID])
  5. Once the user is added and the changes have been committed, have them refresh their VPN connection.  They should now have a VPN IP address in the 172.16.9.231-250 range and should be able to print.
