The following license groups exist in Active Directory to assign employees specific Microsoft licenses. The most commonly used is the Microsoft E3 license for general MS access to email, Teams, etc.

MS Teams Essentials licenses only provide access to Teams, which is needed for the FFL Customer user accounts.
When a new type of Microsoft license is acquired, you can set up a new security group in AD to house/manage the users who need it.
On the O365 Admin portal side, simply assign the licenses to the new AD security group, as shown in the example below.
