"Unassigned Teller" Error in Cleartouch

Occasionally, you may encounter the following error when attempting to do a transaction in Cleartouch Teller: "UNASSIGNED TELLER" (in an override window/pop-up)


If you override the message, the transaction will not register under your teller number and your drawer will not balance.


  1. Look at the bottom left corner of Cleartouch to see if your teller number is displayed.  If not, the "Unassigned Teller" message when trying to do a transaction indicates that you cannot do transactions without being signed into Cleartouch with your teller number (overriding it creates an out of balance situation).
  2. Cancel the transaction.
  3. If teller number is assigned (bottom left), sign out of Cleartouch and sign back in, making sure your teller number is entered on the login page.  This will clear out the Fiserv “glitch," then you can reprocess the transaction as normal.
