Computer Cloning

Modified on Thu, Jul 8, 2021 at 1:11 PM

Occasionally, an Accounting Department computer may be re-cloned to upgrade the suite of Accounting Fiserv products and other applications.  This is basically like reimaging a computer, so all local data will be wiped out.  User will need to run a Profile Backup or otherwise save their desktop files and internet favorites.

Each Accounting user may have a different version of Adobe, so the full version is usually omitted from the master clone.  This is among the items to review after a machine has been cloned:

1. Reinstall Adobe Acrobat

2. Make sure Offline Files is DISABLED in the registry

3. Make sure there is no existing ctInstanceRegistration.config file in C:\Cleartouch3 directory.  If there is, delete it.
