Configuring Teams Presence in Outlook

If your presence/status has been showing as "Offline" since you stopped using Skype for Business and switched to Microsoft Teams, follow these steps to show your Teams presence in Microsoft Outlook.


Launch Microsoft Teams, then click the three dots icon in the top-right corner next to your initials or profile picture --> Settings



In the General tab, check the following box:

After checking the box, the setting will be saved automatically.  Simply "X" out in the top-right corner to close the Settings window.


You may need to close and re-open Office programs, like Microsoft Outlook, for the change to take effect.  After that, your Teams presence will show in Outlook.  i.e. If you are available, a green checkmark will appear by your picture:
