The FFL and FMHC board members use an app called Diligent Boards for reviewing board meeting documents (agendas, minutes, etc.). This app should be installed on any new iPad that is purchased for a board member.
Attached is a Quick Help Guide for the board members to follow when using Diligent Boards and setting up the app for first use. Each of the two attachments contains identical instructions, but is simply branded differently for FMHC vs. FFL board members to prevent any confusion.
Our Diligent administrators and authorized representatives at FMHC are David Shaw and Karen Kurokawa. Either one of them has the ability to contact Diligent to set up new users.
To set up a new user, you must email our accounts manager at TeamBlue@diligent.com. If you are not an administrator, you may email that address with the new user setup request and copy one of our administrators listed above to grant their approval for the request.
As of March 2025, the default user name for new users is their email address. As of August 2021, the default user name for new users is "[first name] [last name]" (note space in between). It was formerly first initial, last name (without a space).
In addition to the Diligent app, there is a web version accessible at web.diligentboards.com using the same login credentials as the app. As of October 2021, the web version does not have all the same functionality as the OneClick app for Windows or iPad, but the OneClick app will eventually be going away (likely in 2022 or later) and all users will need to take advantage of the online site instead.
Some directors who use the web version of Diligent are unable to print documents. On the web based version, you first have to export the document & then print after exporting. Instructions on doing so are here. You can also make sure the user's exporting is enabled by following the instructions here.
In addition to the Resource Center, where all the directors' files/policies are currently stored, there is another feature in Diligent called Secure File Sharing (details here: https://learn.diligent.com/rs/946-AVX-095/images/Security%20Slick_%20Secure%20File%20Sharing%20&%20Secure%20Meeting%20Workflow_AU.pdf). Unfortunately, this is NOT currently a part of our Diligent contract and not a feature currently available to us.
We explored implementing this option in early 2024 but the Secure File Share feature costs $8,500 and Essential Package is $12,500. See feature details attached.
