Network Disassociation

Modified on Tue, Jun 30, 2020 at 1:55 AM

This does not happen very much anymore but occasionally we will have a situation where a user cannot get to a website that they can normally get to.  This happens when the firewall is not associating their IP address with their user name as shown below.  When this happens the quickest and easiest solution is to have the user close and reopen Outlook.  The firewall monitors the Exchange servers for user logins in addition to the domain controllers so this process is quicker and easier for the user than having them reboot.  The usual cause for this situation is a laptop user moving from one location to another without rebooting their computer.
