Blue Grass Federal employees may need to access the BBKY (Bankers' Bank of Kentucky) site, which requires the following to access:
- https://bbconnect.bbky.com/ must be in Trusted Sites.
- They must use Internet Explorer 11 or higher.
- In IE Tools --> Internet Options --> Security, Internet zone must be set to Medium and Trusted Sites zone set to Low.
- If user is on a new computer, they just need to log into the site and download a new certificate (approval may need to be granted by BBKY first).
- If user is on an existing computer, their old certificate can first be removed by going into IE Tools --> Internet Options --> Content --> Certificates.
- ActiveX settings must be changed (see document attached) - in IE: Internet Options --> Security --> Internet --> Custom level... --> scroll down to ActiveX controls. Consult with engineers about using NOGPO** temporarily to get the certificate downloaded.*
*NOTE: As of June 2020, we have not been able to get the ActiveX settings changed for specific users, even when they/their machine is in NOGPO. So, as a workaround, the BBKY users have a custom IE shortcut on their desktop that will run the browser as the local "Administrator" account. Password should already be cached (if it prompts for the password when launching the IE (Admin) shortcut, then the local Administrator account password may have changed and it needs to be re-entered in the DOS prompt).
From there, user will be able to log in to the BBKY site. Since IE is running as the local Administrator account, when they go to save something, it will NOT show the user's desktop, profile, or share drives. As a workaround, there will be a shortcut on the Administrator account's desktop to their W:/ Bankshare drive so they can save documents there.
**As of July 2021, the NOGPO OU has been retired. Instead, use the FMHC --> IT --> Users --> TestOU OU.

If user is on a new computer and needs to download a new site certificate, it may state that it needs approval. You will need to call BBKY and ask them to approve the new certificate on their end before the user can get logged in. As of October 2021, Blue Grass has no internal BBKY admins that can approve certificates internally. All approvals must be done by BBKY as Blue Grass employees are only set up as standard users.
