Every second Wednesday evening of the month, IT Engineering does planned reboots of our servers to install Windows patches/updates from Microsoft, to keep the servers up-to-date, running smoothly, and in compliance for system security.
The initial Teams call for IT/Engineering is scheduled 8:30 - 10:30 pm Eastern (current host is Chris Herbert as of 2025, contact him if you would like to be included in future invites). The follow-up call takes place 9:30 - 10:00 pm Eastern, with team members from AlloBaaS Core (Cleartouch/Fiserv apps), Digital Banking (Q2/OLB), and Enterprise Systems/Corporate Records (Nautilus) to test various systems after the patches are applied.
Notes for Cleartouch testing:
- The Core team should remote into one computer per bank (or per SAF server, if a bank like FFL uses more than one - see list of SCO servers here) to verify that Teller Capture is working properly. Consult the Cleartouch license spreadsheet for that bank (saved in Teams) to grab a computer name with a CT license assigned, consult Lansweeper to verify it is online, then use Remote Desktop via RDWeb to actually remote into the computer and launch Cleartouch.
- Once CT is launched, open CT Teller, make sure Teller Capture is turned on, then start one or two transactions (like a Checking Deposit) and ensure no error messages in red. If there are errors, there may be an issue with Teller Capture and the services on the corresponding SAF server may need to be restarted using the Stop & Start batch files on each SAF server desktop (right click each one and run as administrator).
