Occasionally, you might encounter an employee complaint about the inability to connect or remain connected to the VPN after 6:00 or 7:00 pm every day.
The first question you might ask yourself is, why? WHY!?
Then, you should ask yourself: "Was this employee formerly a branch employee who now works in a back office department?"
If the answer to the above question is "Yes," then you may need to remove a login restriction in their AD profile.
To check, go to Active Directory, search the employee --> Properties --> Account tab --> Logon Hours button.
Verify that the entire window/grid is selected in blue. If not, login might be restricted outside of branch business hours. This is standard for branch employees, but sometimes gets missed when a user takes a new position in a back office role.
