Effective June 2024, the training room in the basement of 24481 Detroit Road in Westlake is now configured as a Teams room. Employees may reserve the room in Outlook via the Teams Rm. - Westlake Training option.
See instructions attached that have been printed, laminated, and placed in the room for users' reference.
The remote control for the projector is NOT needed*, unless there is a power outage and the user needs to manually turn it back on. The remote is stored in the back network room so that it is not easily accessible by non-IT employees.
*One exception: If a user is just plugging in their laptop via the HDMI cable, WITHOUT joining the room to a Teams meeting, the projector will NOT automatically turn on. Without the remote, the employee may need to press the power button on the projector itself to wake it up from sleep mode, then they will be able to share their screen without a Teams meeting.
The vendor who installed the new equipment is AVI-SPL. Long-term support of the equipment will be available post-install.
