Sycamore A Projector (BenQ)

To connect to the BenQ projector in the Sycamore A conference room at FMHC Headquarters in Lakewood, follow the steps below.

1. Turn on the projector and your computer.  Make sure your laptop is connected to the network using a network cable plugged into the wall (same wall where the projector is aimed to project the screen).
2. Install the BenQ QCast application (contact IT for assistance):
   1. G:\Shared\AppFiles\BenQ QCast App.exe
3. Open the app, click the magnifying glass icon in the middle of the window.
4. Once it detects the projector, click Mirror Off to start projecting.
   1. The Castcode is displayed in the top-right corner of the projector screen (see “Network Display Code”).  Enter the code and click OK.
5. Your laptop will automatically adjust to the proper screen resolution to display properly.
6. To stop projecting, click Mirror On.

If desired, two or more users can connect to the projector simultaneously and display a split screen.  In the BenQ app, click Split Screen and select the desired number of screens to display.  Any more than two may make the picture too blurry to see properly.

Troubleshooting Tips:

• Projector not connecting!  On the “Network Display” source, you will see a “Network Display” screen projected.  In the bottom-right corner, you should see “Wired LAN Connected – IP address: 172.16.2.34.”  Your computer should also have a 172.16.2.xx address, otherwise you will not connect.  You should pick up a 172.16.2.xx if you are plugged in with a network cable to the same wall where the projector projects the screen.  If you are plugged into the wall where the conference room door is, you likely will not connect as some of those ports are configured for the vendor network (auditors and other third parties will use those to plug in their own laptops and pick up a 192.168.222.xx guest address).
